Can’t Find a Good Job? Give Us a Chance!

In our line of work, we spend a lot of time every day talking to the people who visit our lots. In order to help them get the cars that they need, we chat with them about their individual situations- their bills, their expenses and their jobs. A lot of the people we’ve met recently are going through a similar struggle with the current job market. While they have skills and want to work, they just can’t find a good full-time position that pays the bills.

Things have even gotten so bad that we’ve noticed a recent trend of potential customers faking their paystubs to make it look like they’re full-time employees or that they make more money than they actually do. And that never ends well.

The Current Job Market is Tough

When there’s not enough full-time jobs to go around that good workers have to settle for part-time positions, it’s called being “underemployed.” And with inflation still high and companies cutting costs to stay profitable, a lot of good workers are finding themselves underemployed. Many of these people turn to internet job offers, putting their resumes online only to be contacted with strange offers that never turn out to be a job- not to mention the danger of someone stealing and selling your personal information. Many struggle to get by on a part-time paycheck, or they juggle multiple part-time jobs and have a hard time keeping them. The jobs they find are often low-paying, come without any benefits and offer less-than-ideal working conditions.
